Velofant began its journey by re-cycling bikes and organizing flea markets in some of Stockholm's parks. Today we strive to develop this legacy - our sustainable approach. We acknowledge that bicycle manufacturing is inherently polluting, and there’s no quick fix for that. That's why we're committed to constantly finding better methods and reducing our environmental impact. One example is our "Re-Crafted" models — another is our use of steel in newly manufactured bike frames. Producing aluminum requires seven times more energy than producing steel. Steel, on the other hand is easily recyclable — making it a more climate-friendly choice. High-quality steel frames are also durable and repairable, they’re built to last — for a very long time.

It's not rocket science, we know that the overall impact of cars is negative for the climate, health and the city life. A danish architect sumarize it well:

Encouraging more people to choose the bicycle is vital for building climate-neutral cities, and we hope to play a small but meaningful role in that transition.
